FAQ to "Accepting, composing and administering orders"
Where can I find orders (OpenOrders)? How do I get started?
Access the menu item “show orders” in your account.
There you can either search the order catalog by categories or find specific topics of interest via the search function. Choose any one orde to see a detailed description. If you wish to accept the order click on “I would like to write this text”, if not click onto “I would like to write another text”.
I have completed a text. How do I proceed?
You should now see your text in the text box with the appropriate title. Reassure yourself that the text is free of any mistakes. Only with flawless texts can you receive a best possible rating.
Now click on the button “save text and count words”. If the word count
meets the required minimum, you will see the button “release text” at the bottom of the page. Click on it and the text will be send to the client..
Changing the article will now only be possible if Textbroker or the client sends back the text for
revision.

You can retrace the further processing of your article in your statistics. Firstly it will automatically, or if necessary, manually be checked for any copyright infringements and then if no violation was detected redirected to the client. The client then can look over the text and accept or send it back for revision. If he fails to comply within 3 to 4 days the text will automatically be booked as accepted by Textbroker.
This also counts for the texts you revised. The only difference here is that the client has the option to decline your article. The refusal will be looked over by Textbroker and then either accepted or rejected.
However, in over 99,5% of the cases the client directly accepts the article, or if not, then after revision.
Finally the appropriate figure is directly credited to your authors account.
Subsequently the official rating of your text is carried out by the Textbroker editorial staff within one week.
In what period of time must the client react to my text release?
The client has 3 days to accept, refuse or send your text back for revision. Although, depending on the weekday (e.g. Sunday) or if your text shows suspicious content these proceedings can be prolonged for up to 2 days;
Can I compose texts offline?
Yes, that is no problem. The order stays preserved for you until deadline. However, reassure yourself that you have accepted the order correctly. This is the case as soon as you are shown the text box.
Do not click on “cancel order” unless you wish to do precisely that. If you do so, the assignment is canceled and open to all authors again.
To write an assignment offline, choose the concerning order, accept it and then simply close the browser window.
The next time you logon to your Textbroker account you can find this assignment in your menu under ”show orders”.
Is my order lost when I close the browser?
No! The order is preserved for you up till the deadline. But reassure yourself that you have accepted the order correctly. This is the case as soon as you are shown the text entry box.
Do not click on the button “cancel process”. If you do, the order is canceled and open to all authors again.
Choose the respected order and confirm that you wish to write this text, then simply close the browser window.
The next time when logging onto your Textbroker account, you will find this assignment under the menu item “show orders”.
I am always shown the previous order when I wish to select an “OpenOrder”.
In case you do not wish to write an order please remember that you must click on “write another text” or “cancel process”. Only then, the text is open to all authors again and you can choose a different assignment.
What is the significance of this order...?
Unfortunately, Textbroker can not give any answers to order related questions. Please contact the client via the messaging function of Textbroker to resolve any questions concerning this matter.

Can I accept an OpenOrder a second time if I accidentally canceled the assignment.
Provided the order has not been chosen by another author you can accept the same order once more. A third time although is not possible.
Do I receive a negative entry if I cancel an accepted assignment?
No, canceling an order has no negative effects whatsoever on your profile and will not be shown to any other clients.
Do I receive a confirmation when being assigned a new DirectOrder?
Yes, you will immediately be notified by e-mail. Therefore please always reassure yourself that your stated e-mail address is correct.
Do I receive a confirmation in case a client requests a revision of an article?
Yes, you will immediately be notified by e-mail. Therefore please always reassure yourself that your stated e-mail address is correct.
In what period of time must I meet the demands of a client's request for revision?
After receiving the notice via e-mail or in your client account you have 24hors to send back the revised text.
Important! If the revision is not completed within this time frame you loose the order and it will be open to all authors again. In this case you do not receive any compensation for your work. If this wasn't your intention, time is of the essence. Best is, you immediately find the concerning order in the assignment list and select it once more. Otherwise it can be assumed the order has been reserved and is being written by another author.
How often can a client send back a text for revision?
Currently there is no limit to this. As long as the requested changes are legitimate and refer to the initially stated assignment, revision requests are possible. Should you feel a client is abusing this option, please contact our support.
Please note that after receiving such a request you only have 24 hours to complete and send back the revised text. If you should exceed this deadline the order is revoked and will be open to all authors again.
When and how often are texts declined? What effect does this have?
A client can only decline a text if:

he can establish that the refusal is based on one or more failures to comply with the originally stated assignment.
The author failed to fulfill certain criteria which may or may not have been explicitly stated and, in context of the given order, are generally known and therefore should have been accounted for.

However, refusals are an absolute exception and occur in less than 0,5% of all cases. The client must first give the author the chance for a revision before he can refuse a text as a final measure. The requests for refusal are monitored by Textbroker and can, if lacking above stated reasoning, also be declined by Textbroker. This leads to an automatic acceptance and compensation of the article in favor of the author.
On the other hand, if the text is declined, Textbroker has the option, regarding the seriousness of the case, to assign an appropriate rating. In the worst case this will be 0 points, in the best case neutral. A neutral rating does not have any negative effect on the quality rating, whereas 0 points flow into the average rating of an author.
How do I set my rate for DirectOrders?
For this please go to menu item “public profile” in your authors account. There you can determine your all over rate for DirectOrders. If you, on the other hand, wish to assign a special tariff to a specific client please access his profile by clicking on his client number. There you can set a client specific rate. Please note that tariff changes only apply to future orders. Payoffs for ongoing assignments cannot be altered this way.
For this, you must ask the client to “reassign” the ongoing orders to you. Then your changed rates will also apply to those orders.
Where are the texts published?
Unfortunately this information is not available to Textbroker. If applicable the client stated this information in his order. In this case you can find the respective hint in the assignments description. You can also acquire the address by directly asking the client via our messaging system. However, he is not obligated to share this information.
