FAQ to "Issuing and administering orders"
What possibilities are there for exporting an article?
The export function can be found in your client account under the menu item "Export". There you can export all completed articles (grouped by project affiliation).

Following formats are available for export:

- HTML (listing of all articles of a project as HTML file)
- CSV
- RSS 2.0 (XML file)

Furthermore, you can have all completed articles sent to you by e-mail or if you prefer, just those articles of a project that have been added since your last download.
How do I archive articles and what does that mean?
The archive function gives you a better overview of your project administration. You can archive or un-archive your projects as often as you wish. In order to archive a project simply mark it in your project administration by setting a check-mark in the appropriate row and then clicking on the button "archive".
Archived projects can be accessed and inspected at any time by clicking on the link "Show Archive" in your project administration.
There you can un-archive an archived project in the same manner as stated above.
Do I get my money back when I delete an order?
Yes, the frozen assets for this order will be fully refunded to your client account, including the service charge.
How can I delete an order?
Provided that the order has not yet been accepted by an author, go to your client account to administration and search for the concerning project name. Select the option "show" OpenOrder ( or "show" DirectOrder) in the appropriate row.

For ongoing OpenOrders click the title of the order you wish to delete. On the next page click on the button "delete this order". After confirming once more the order will be deleted and the respective amount will be fully credited to your client account.

For ongoing DirectOrders you can simply erase the order in the displayed overview by check-marking the concerning order and clicking on the button "delete" at the bottom of the list. After confirming once more the order will be deleted and the respective amount will be fully credited to your client account
How do I change an order after it already was submitted to the author-pool?
This answer will be updated as soon as possible.
How much time do I have to accepting an article?
Starting from moment the article is released by the author, you have 3 days to review, accept, refuse or send back the article for revision. Should you not make use of any of the options above within the time limit the concerning article will automatically be booked as accepted and the costs charged to your client account.
Where can I accept completed articles?
You can find the completed articles in your client's "Assignments" - "Administration".
How and when can I request a revision of an article?
A revision is only possible if the article has not yet been accepted by you or by the automatic acceptance. (3 days after release). In order to request a revision simply access the concerning article and scroll to the end of the page. There you can see the option for sending articles back for revision. Please state the exact reason and what exactly is to be changed in a considerate and factual manner. The author is only liable if he did not at all, or in parts meet your order instructions as stated.
When am I informed of completed articles in my account?
As soon as completed orders are waiting for revision, Textbroker sends an email and informs you of all unchecked articles in your account. You only receive an email once a day regardless of the amount of articles waiting for revision.
What if an author exceeds my specified processing time?
In case of an OpenOrder the assignment is revoked and made available to all other authors again.
Why does the completion of my OpenOrder take longer than the duration I specified?
The duration is the time frame the author has to complete the article, once he has accepted the order.
If an author accepts an order but then cancels it after a certain time period the order is available to all authors again. The following author that accepts the same article, again has the estimated time for completion.
An author that has canceled an order only has the chance to choose that order once more. By this authors are prevented from blocking an order for a longer period of time.
How long does it take until an order is executed and completed?
Textbroker can be considered as a kind of market place and therefore it eventually depends on the authors and what orders they consider appealing. Many of our client's orders are being edited within a few hours but some first after a few days. Also, the pace in which orders are handled strongly depends on the respective order. If your order is not accepted by any author in the set time frame, it is up to you to erase this entry or possibly rephrase it. The prepaid money for this order will then automatically be refunded to your Textbroker account.
How do I format my order?
You have the option to format your order description with the following HTML tags:

(1) <b> words in bold writing</b>
Use these tags to mark one or more words as bold

(2)

Use this tag to start a new line.

(3)

Use this tag to start a new break.

HTML tags, programmer language and/or scripts that transcend this listing are not available.

Exactly what specifications are later shown to the author?
The author sees following specifications of your order:

- category (only OpenOrders)
- assignment title
- requested quality level
- min./max. word count
- price per word
- assignment deadline
- your client ID

Via your client ID the author can retrieve the following information about you:

- number of articles assigned by you
- number of refused articles
- cancellation rate (is calculated by the two points above)
- article revisions requested by you
- revision rate
What is an OpenOrder?
With an OpenOrder you have the option to place an order that is available to all Textbroker authors. You can narrow the group of people eligible for handling your order by requesting a certain level of quality. Hereby you have 4 levels to choose from, with 2 being the lowest and 5 the highest level of quality.
The price for each order is calculated according to the requested quality level. The current price list can be found under the following link: http://www.textbroker.com/en/client-prices.php
For example, if you place an OpenOrder with a minimum quality level of 4, it will exclusively be available to authors of the 4th and 5th level. Naturally every order can only be handled by 1 author. As soon as an author reserves an article for himself, it will no longer be shown to any other authors.

OpenOrders are well fitted for single orders but shows its full efficiency especially when placing higher quantities of orders. With Textbroker you can place an optional amount of assignments which will be processed by various authors, and because of the orders are being composed parallel, you can save a considerable amount of time.
What is a DirectOrder?
With a DirectOrder you have the option to assign an order to a specific author. You can either use this method for assigning an author that you already have worked with in the past (by clicking on his user-name) or to select one of our authors via the search function according to certain criteria.
The difference to an OpenOrder is that with a DirectOrder the user can set his own price per word (impartial to our fixed quality levels). Furthermore, you have the option to negotiate a special price rate with the author whereas the author is given a by Textbroker predetermined minimum payment of 0.01875 USD per word (0.015 USD net per word + 25% Textbroker commission). In addition a flat charge of 0.30 USD per order is charged for DirectOrders as well as OpenOrders.
How often can I send back an article for revision?
Presently there is no limit to how often an article can be send back for revision as long as the reasoning can be based on the initial order instructions.
How and when can I refuse an article?
An article can be refused in case you already send it back once for revision and was not changed according to your demands.
Please remember stating an explicit reason for your refusal. The explanatory statement must relate to your initial assignment's description. Textbroker will review your reason for refusal. Your claim can only be accepted if the author failed to realize one or more aspects of your initial order requirements. In case we can not accept your refusal the article will be booked as accepted and will be charged to your client account. In this case a further revision request is not possible.
How do I place mass orders / keyword listings (several orders at the same time)?
The procedure is very similar to the single order placement.
Each order requires its own title.
When inserting your order titles into the "Order Titles" text-box, see that every title is placed in a new row (by pressing the enter key).
Then enter a description that applies to all orders in the field "Order Description". Under no circumstances refer to any specific title, phrase the description "neutrally".

All other adjustments can be made as usual. As an example, the setting "maximum word count = 300" would apply to every single order.

When handing in this mass order our system will view each title as a single order and take on the standardized assignment description as well as all other settings. With OpenOrders these assignments are handled by various authors at the same time.

You can also customize your assignment description by adding the place holder "[PLH]" at one or more locations of the order. The author then is shown the title of the respective order at this location [PLH].

How do I add examples/images/videos etc. to my assignment description?
Patching it straight onto the order is not possible. Best is to add an Internet address for the author under which he can retrieve the concerning document or data.
What do the quality levels 2 to 5 imply?
We at Textbroker find it necessary to have every submitted content undergo a continuous quality control.

This is insured by our quality control team. It initially rates the registration text of each applicant
as well as every completed article handed in by an author. This way the quality level of each author is constantly kept in check, and with every new article submitted, reexamined and if need be revised.

The quality levels range from 2 to 5 points. 2 being the lowest and 5 the highest level of quality.

Especially when issuing OpenOrders, in which case the clients assigns an order according to a certain level of quality, this can be a most helpful tool. But also when placing DirectOrders it can serve as criteria for choosing a suitable author.

Furthermore, when placing an OpenOrder, the price per word is calculated on the basis of a fixed tariff chart predetermined by Textbroker. The price per word hereby is dependent on the clients requested level of quality.
What does the minimum and maximum word count imply?
With this indication you can determine the desired length of an article.
The author can not hand in articles which do not meet the required amount of words requested by you.
If the writer exceeds the maximum word count, he can nevertheless hand in the article but will not be reimbursed for the additional words.
How do I phrase an expedient order instruction?
At the best your order instruction will include the following information:

- Topic
- Are any certain words to be mentioned in the article? (if yes, how often?)
- Who is the target group for the article?
- Should the reader be addressed personally?
- What style should the article exhibit? (definition, neutral informative, sincere, casual,
adolescent, witty, etc.?)
- Are there any exemplary articles in the Internet that clarify your expectations. (If yes, please
post the respective URL.)
- Are there certain pictures or any other content the author should view before composing the
article (If yes, please post the respective URL.)
How do I post a new order?
How do I post a new order?
Go to menu item "Assignments" - "Administration". There you can "create a new project" (this serves the purpose of structuring, and having a better overview of your orders.)
Once you did this, you can see your new project name in the displayed chart.
Click on the link "start" in the column "new order". You can then choose between the modes "OpenOrder" and "DirectOrder".
To place an OpenOrder click on the link "start" OpenOrder.

What you see now is the order process page where you can enter all, for the author, essential information. First of all, choose a suitable category for your order (if you are not sure, choose "miscellaneous").

Now following information is needed:
- the minimum quality level of the author
- the required minimum and maximum reimbursed amount of words
- the orders title (which will later be displayed to the author in a schematic list)
- an order description (Note! Please elaborate as precise as possible)

In the following step the cost of the order is calculated. If you feel everything to your approval, click on "place binding order"

You can retrieve the status of your order in your "Assignment" - "Administration" under the link "show" OpenOrder. For all orders that have been completed by authors and that need a final revision you will receive an e-mail.
