How are order costs calculated?
All prices for all orders are based on the word count.

You determine the minimum and maximum amount of words. Article writers cannot submit less than the minimum, and you are not charged for anything more than the maximum.

When assigning an OpenOrder, the price per word is calculated by a fixed price that reflects your requested quality level.

DirectOrder prices are determined by the content writer. The price is displayed in the article writer's profile. The minimum DirectOrder price is 1.95 cents per word. Please check the writer's profile before placing an order.

You set TeamOrder prices, which also start at 1.95 cents per word. At 2.2 cents per word, the same price as a 4-star OpenOrder, the content writer earns more than choosing a 4-star article. Please keep this in mind when setting your price to attract better and faster writers. You can change your TeamOrder price at any time.

There is also a flat $0.30 fee for all orders, no matter what order format is chosen. This fee covers Copyscape, payment and transfer fees, and other small associated costs.
Where can I find the current price list?

Does Textbroker check the articles for plagiarism?
Yes, all articles are automatically scanned for copied text passages by an internal control system as well as by the notable copyright service CopyScape.
If an article exhibits any questionable content during our checks, our quality control team immediately handles all necessary processing before the article is sent to you.
Therefore, you will only find articles in your account that have been checked by both systems and are considered credible by Textbroker.
Despite the thorough quality control, we cannot exclude the fact that these security measures can be avoided with a little imagination. In case of deliberate infringement of copyright law, Textbroker will reveal the originator's contact information to the injured party for further legal prosecution.
Does Textbroker offer submission services to article directories?
This is not a part of our current offerings. Please review the "Resources" page for a possible third-party vendor.
Can an author sell the same article to several clients (multiple license)?
No! The content writer must compose every article completely new and may not "sell" or "recycle" work to multiple clients. Article writers cannot resubmit their same work with different keywords. This fact is also explicitly and clearly indicated in the author's Terms of Service and user menu. Authors who attempt this will be removed from the system.
I forgot my password. What now?
Please use the "Forgot password" link below the login area. This will allow you to restore your password. To protect your privacy, Textbroker's staff cannot see or change your password for you.

What type of articles does Textbroker have to offer?
Textbroker can provide any type of article. Current projects include search engine optimization for websites, press releases, product reviews, testimonials, blog posts, website content and travelogues.
We do not accept academic papers or explicit adult articles as OpenOrders.
The more detailed your order is, the better the article will be. Also, consider the appropriate level of quality when placing OpenOrders. Research-intense or highly technical orders should exclusively be assigned to 4 or 5 star authors.
The duration until an author chooses a certain assignment, or if an assignment is chosen at all, depends strongly on these criteria.
How do authors of various quality levels differ from one another?
The authors quality level is determined by the average rating of his 5 most recent articles. We evaluate the levels as follows:

One-star authors are those that have failed to meet the standards set for our two-star authors. These articles are spun, have been put through translation software, or are in any other way unintelligible. One-star authors are no longer allowed to accept Open Orders in our system.

Two-star authors exhibit a basic understanding of English grammar. Misspellings may occur at this level, but articles containing an excessive number of misspellings or misspellings that hinder comprehension of the article's basic points are not acceptable. While two-star authors may make some capitalization errors, they must adhere to the basic rules of capitalization: The first person singular pronoun “I” must always be capitalized as must the first letter of each sentence. Two-star articles will exhibit correct use of periods and question marks. Overall, while there may be errors in logic, the article will be legible.

Three-star authors may still make spelling mistakes, but they are usually attributed to homophone confusion and minor typos. Repeated, consistent spelling errors are not acceptable at the three-star level. Also, capitalization mistakes will be limited to specialized, isolated cases, like “Ipod” instead of “iPod.” Three-star authors will use commas correctly approximately fifty percent of the time or more. Although there might be pronoun and subject/verb agreement errors in three-star writing, they will be minor. Additionally, three-star authors will have mastered the use of definite and indefinite articles. Three-star articles, while possibly containing some fluff, will largely make logical sense and will have a discernible argument: They will not consist primarily of filler text.

Four-star articles will have minor grammatical errors only and will exhibit a sophisticated style. Misspellings and typos, aside from those that the client specifically requests in the instructions, are not acceptable in four-star work. Capitalization will be entirely correct, and complex punctuation will be used correctly: There will be very few errors in use of colons or semicolons. Dashes, parentheses, ellipses and exclamation points will be used in a way that is consistent with the AP Stylebook and is not stylistically obtrusive. The four-star article will flow well; it will be informative and entertaining without being wordy or overly colloquial.

Five-star authors have proven to our editorial staff that they invariably provide professional-grade writing. Each article will be nearly flawless, and five-star authors will consistently provide content that meets our stringent five-star standards. At the five-star level, we do not tolerate spelling mistakes, typos, capitalization errors or punctuation errors that are not mandated by the client instructions. The argument will be extremely strong and will be presented in a style that is insightful and compelling, all while being impeccably and thoroughly researched. Additionally, five-star authors will interact with clients and Textbroker staff in a manner befitting their status as professionals. Our 5-star authors are hand-picked by our editorial staff and represent the best that Textbroker has to offer.
