Textbroker, Robots and You (Are Humans Rating My Order?)
With the prevalence of artificial intelligence in today’s technology, it’s easy to wonder if you’re talking to a real person when interacting with someone on the internet. While many online companies rely on computer programs to handle quality assurance, Texbroker’s QA department consists entirely of carbon-based life forms.
Quality Assurance – The Perfect Job for a Human
Word processing programs like Microsoft Word are a great way to check spelling and basic grammar, but Textbroker’s in-depth editorial feedback requires a more human touch. Our editors are trained in AP style and have strong knowledge of spelling and grammar rules. And unlike robots, our editors want their fellow humans to succeed. All of our editors’ feedback is tailored to the type of order being completed and the author’s current star level. Editors put thought and purpose into each note they leave, often writing relevant examples or sharing useful resources. Additionally, ratings are anonymous; our editors can’t and won’t play favorites. Their comments are meant to help you grow as a writer and to improve your rating so that you can take on higher paying work.
We’ve had a lot of authors ask us about the algorithm. It’s true: A computer program does help determine who needs to get rated and when. Textbroker processes hundreds of thousands of words per day, so to make sure the rating system is fair, the algorithm uses relevant criteria, including the date of your last rating, recent rating promotions or demotions, how often you write and submit orders, recent order rejections and new authors whose accounts are blocked. The algorithm doesn’t rate or try to guess your quality; we know it takes a human to do that, and we’ve got some of the best.
Author Services – You Don’t Have to Press “0”
Much like the Quality Assurance team, Author Services consists entirely of human team members. Also like QA, Author Services sometimes uses template responses to answer frequently asked questions; these are still sent by a human. We’re here to personally answer your questions and help you be the most successful author you can be. From the sign-up process to helping you find clients and teams suited to your expertise, Author Services has the answer to your question. When you call our department, you’ll be directed to a real person right away. Robots just don’t get it.
