Author Spotlight: Arnold

Author Spotlight #5: Get to know Arnold: 4-star writer and renaissance man!

Hello Authors!

Today, we bring to you the fifth in a series of many Author Spotlights. We wanted to take a moment every month and recognize an author who has showed great enthusiasm and growth since first signing up.

We are keeping our eyes peeled for future spotlights, so keep on working hard- you might be next!

Author Spotlight #5: Get to know Arnold.

Tell us a bit about yourself. (hobbies, interests, etc.)

I love music, sports, and writing. I am in the process of just getting a science fiction writing career off the ground, and I also enjoy writing radio shows, plays, and anything else. I write a couple of columns and do a radio show for the local online media outlet here at home, and we are working hard to go national someday. I was also recently diagnosed with stage 4 kidney cancer. It is funny-it feels like everyone around me is using my cancer to identify me, but I am not. I guess that is the way it works.

How did you hear about Textbroker, and how long have you been a Textbroker author?

I have been a Textbroker author for, I believe, 8 or 9 years. Textbroker simply came up in a Google search all of those years ago and I have been extremely grateful that Google got at least that one thing right over the past decade.

What is your current star level?

4

What inspired you to begin writing?

I love to write. There is really no other reason.

What is your favorite book or blog? Why?

My favorite book is A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. To me, the entire premise around A Christmas Carol is the most original story idea I have ever heard.

What piece of advice would you give to a new Textbroker author?

Fill out your profile completely (including all writing samples) and write from the open order pool as often as possible. Your profile and open order writing will lead to good team invites and direct orders. Whenever you get written notes from the editors, take them to heart and make those changes part of your writing.

What is your favorite topic to create content about?

Business

In your opinion, how does an author get the most out of his or her Textbroker experience?

Staying active with writing open and team orders, and taking advantage of every opportunity you are given. It can take a couple of years to build up a strong business on Textbroker, but it is worth it.

What piece of advice would you give to an author looking to improve their rating/increase their earnings?

Always listen to what the Textbroker editors tell you, fill out your profile, and don’t stop writing open orders.

We’d like to give a special thank you to Arnold for taking part in this month’s Author Spotlight. Stay tuned for upcoming interviews with exemplary authors! If you have questions you’d like us to include in next month’s Spotlight, send them to [email protected]

monkeypie,

Did you not just break the rule in your own comment? Just asking.
