Sites to Boost Productivity

This week, we have compiled a list of our favorite free productivity-boosting sites to help take your writing endeavors to the next level.

Hello Authors,

We hope you’ve had a particularly productive week. With the weather improving and spring break on the horizon, we know it can be easy to get distracted from the task at hand. As members of Author Services, we are invested in your success and want to help you achieve your productivity goals as well as your financial aspirations.

Thus, we have compiled a list of our favorite free productivity-boosting sites to help take you the extra mile in your writing endeavors.

WorkFlowy
This list-making app and site is the perfect place to document your ideas or to-do-list. It is also great for mind-mapping or pre-writing orders. WorkFlowy features a simple and elegant interface and is easy to use on your phone, tablet, or computer.

Productivity Owl
Productivity Owl is the niftiest Google Chrome extension around. When you are not being productive, the Productivity Owl will swoop across your screen and close distracting tabs on your behalf. You can schedule your free time hours and decide which websites you consider distracting.

Focus Writer
Focus Writer creates a workspace free of distracting icons or websites by temporarily hiding all running programs from your desktop. It includes easily customizable themes, a time, auto-save, spell check and typewriter sounds you can toggle on and off.

Rainy Mood
For those who enjoy a slight drizzle or a soothing storm, Rainy Mood provides the perfect background sounds for hours of writing. You can choose to listen to the stormy sounds or combine them with carefully curated tunes. It’s a perfect combination.

Calm
Calm is a mindfulness and meditation app that is perfect for making a temporary escape. Freelancing is stressful, and taking a moment for yourself can sometimes make the difference between pushing through the mental block and completely burning yourself out. When it all seems to be a bit too much, let Calm bring you clarity and peace.

Hemingway
Hemingway, much like the widely known Grammarly, is a proofreading and word counting app to help you in your proofreading quest. Mistakes are highlighted in corresponding colors for easy reading and correction. Nothing beats an old-fashioned proofread, but it is always nice to have a little help.
We hope this list has provided you with a few tools to help you beat Spring Distraction Syndrome. Feel free to leave us a comment down below if you had success with one of the sites or apps listed.

Thank you for all your hard work!
